Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Retail Sales Manager located in Jakarta, Indonesia. The Retail Sales Manager will be responsible for business planning, account management, sales, team management, and budgeting. This role involves overseeing the sales operations, setting targets, managing key accounts, leading the sales team, and ensuring budget adherence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a nationwide sales strategy to achieve revenue and profitability targets.
  • Identify new business opportunities, key markets, and customer segments for HPL products.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and pricing strategies to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with architects, interior designers, contractors, distributors and corporate clients.
  • Drive channel expansion by appointing new distributors, dealers, and retail partners.
  • Develop strategic partnerships to enhance brand visibility and market presence.
  • Train and manage a high-performing sales team.
  • Set sales targets, KPIs, and incentive programs to drive performance.
  • Conduct regular team meetings, training sessions, and performance evaluations.
  • Ensure excellent customer service and support to maintain high levels of client satisfaction.
  • Address customer concerns, provide technical assistance, and resolve disputes effectively.
  • Prepare and present sales forecasts, budgets, and performance reports to senior management.
  • Analyze sales data to identify areas for improvement and optimize sales processes.

Qualifications

  • Experience working with architects, interior designers, and project-based sales.
  • Familiarity with dealer/distributor networks and B2B sales in the building materials industry.
  • Strong technical knowledge of HPL product specifications, applications, and installation methods.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or a related field.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in sales and business development, preferably in the HPL, laminates, or building materials industry.
  • Proven track record of managing national sales teams and achieving sales targets.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Deep understanding of HPL product applications, industry trends, and sales strategies.
  • Has experience utilize CRM software, MS Office, and sales analytics tools.
  • Ability to travel extensively across the country as needed
