Corporate Lawyer – Real Estate Development Company

One of our clients, a real estate development company specialising in creating thoughtfully designed real estate projects across Lombok and Bali, is looking for a Corporate Lawyer to join their team.

The ideal candidate is a seasoned legal advisor who combines deep legal expertise with practical business understanding. You are someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, can communicate complex legal concepts in clear terms, and is comfortable balancing compliance with commercial objectives. You will be the company's trusted counsel on matters ranging from contract negotiation to regulatory compliance, labour relations, and corporate governance, ensuring the organisation operates safely, ethically, and efficiently in Lombok's growing property market.

Requirements :

• Open for local candidates.
• Bachelor's Degree in Law (S.H.), with valid bar membership (PERADI).
• Minimum 5–7 years of experience in corporate or business law, ideally within the construction or real estate sectors.
• Strong knowledge of labour, commercial, and contractual legislation in Indonesia.
• Experience with tax law or property transactions is an advantage.
• Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills in English and Bahasa Indonesia (legal English proficiency required).
• Knowledge of local Lombok or Sasak language preferred to liaise effectively with local stakeholders is a plus.
• High level of professionalism, integrity, and discretion.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Confident in providing legal advice to senior stakeholders and management.
• Have strong negotiation and contract-drafting skills.
• Understand the regulatory framework of Indonesia's construction and property sector.
• Detail-oriented, discreet, and solution-driven.
• Effective communication and stakeholder management.
• Strong business ethics and confidentiality.
• Adaptability and initiative in a fast-growing organisation.
• Based in Lombok or willing to relocate.

Responsibilities :

• Provide legal advice on corporate, commercial, and labour law matters to management and project teams.
• Ensure company operations comply with Indonesian law, including local Lombok regulations.
• Monitor, interpret, and communicate changes in relevant legislation and regulations.
• Support the company's compliance with tax, environmental, and land-use regulations when applicable.
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts with clients, suppliers, investors, and partners.
• Ensure that contract terms protect the company's interests while maintaining fairness and commercial viability.
• Develop standard templates and procedures to streamline contract management.
• Support corporate structure management, including company registration, permits, and licenses.
• Manage and mitigate potential legal risks by implementing internal controls and preventive measures.
• Prepare and maintain corporate documentation and ensure compliance with statutory reporting requirements.
• Represent the company in legal proceedings, mediations, and administrative hearings.
• Liaise with government agencies, legal authorities, and notaries.
• Coordinate and supervise external law firms handling specialised or high-risk cases.
• Advise HR and management on labour law matters, including employee contracts, disciplinary actions, and dispute resolution.
• Ensure alignment with Indonesian labour legislation and BPJS requirements.
• Conduct internal legal training sessions to improve understanding of compliance obligations.
