**Job Summary**:
The Sales Manager is responsible for driving resort revenue through proactive sales strategies, client relationship management, and effective market segmentation. This role leads the sales efforts for key accounts and market segments while mentoring the sales team and ensuring alignment with the hotel’s business objectives.
**Key Responsibilities:1. Strategic Sales Planning**
- Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve and exceed room revenue targets.
- Identify key market opportunities and formulate action plans for corporate, leisure, group, and event segments.
- Contribute to the resort’s overall business planning and forecasting processes.
**2. Business Development**
- Actively prospect and secure new business through client visits, sales calls, tradeshows, and networking.
- Maintain and grow strong relationships with existing key accounts and top-producing clients.
- Negotiate contracts and pricing to maximize revenue while meeting client needs.
**3. Leadership & Team Development**
- Supervise and support the sales team (including Assistant Sales Manager and Sales Executives).
- Set performance goals and KPIs; provide regular coaching and feedback.
- Foster a positive, collaborative, and performance-driven culture within the sales department.
**4. Client & Event Coordination**
- Oversee the planning and execution of major events and group bookings.
- Ensure client satisfaction by coordinating with operations, F&B, and front office teams.
- Resolve client issues promptly and professionally to maintain long-term loyalty.
**5. Market Intelligence & Reporting**
- Monitor competitor activities, market trends, and business demand to adjust sales strategies.
- Analyze sales data and prepare regular performance reports for management.
- Recommend promotions and packages based on seasonal trends and revenue goals.
**Requirements**:
- Minimum 3-5 years of proven experience in hotel sales, with at least 1 year in a managerial role.
- Strong understanding of local and international market segments (corporate & leisure).
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- High level of leadership, strategic thinking, and results orientation.
- Proficiency in MS Office and hotel CRM or sales systems.
- Fluent in English; other languages are an advantage.
