Position Overview

The Head of Legal will lead the overall legal strategy of the company, manage legal risks, and provide expert advisory support to leadership teams. The role oversees corporate legal matters, commercial contracts, regulatory compliance, and supports HR in labor-related legal guidance when needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and oversee all legal operations to ensure the agency's campaigns, productions, and commercial activities comply with relevant laws, industry standards, and content regulations.
  • Review, draft, and negotiate a wide range of agreements including client service contracts, talent agreements, vendor and production partner contracts, NDAs, collaboration MOUs, licensing/publishing engagements, including but not limited to procurement documents.
  • Serve as a strategic legal advisor to Business, Creative, Production, Operations, HR, and Finance teams, offering practical, solutions-focused guidance that enables smooth and compliant project execution.
  • Oversee corporate governance, risk management, and regulatory reporting across media, advertising, and entertainment activities.
  • Support HR in labor law compliance, employment documentation, policy development, and employee relations matters.
  • Manage dispute resolution processes, including handling IP matters, contractual disputes, and coordination with external counsel when required.
  • Develop and maintain legal SOPs, contract templates, compliance frameworks, and internal policies to support agile creative and operational workflows.
  • Conduct legal training and workshops to strengthen internal understanding of IP rights, talent agreements, content usage, data protection, and other key legal areas.
  • Manage the legal department and its team, ensuring strong leadership, capability development, and alignment with the agency's creative and business objectives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Law (S.H./LL.M preferred).
  • 7–10 years of experience in legal roles; agency, creative, media, FMCG, or service-based industries are a plus.
  • Strong experience in commercial contracts and corporate legal.
  • Knowledge of employment regulations and general IR practices is beneficial.
  • Strong negotiation, risk management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, project-driven agency environment.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • High integrity, professionalism, and strategic thinking ability.
