About Us:

Kitar is a fast-growing tech company specialising in second-hand mobile phone recycling and selling. We are on a mission to promote sustainable consumption by extending product lifecycles and reducing carbon emissions.

We are currently looking for Taxation and Finance Operations Specialist role that is responsible for ensuring accurate financial processes, efficient daily finance operations, and full compliance with applicable tax regulations.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Taxation

  2. Prepare and file monthly and annual tax reports (e.g., PPh, PPN; or GST/Corporate Tax depending on jurisdiction).

  3. Ensure compliance with local tax regulations and monitor updates on tax laws.
  4. Prepare supporting documents for tax audits, refunds, or objections.
  5. Review invoices, vendor documents, and transactions for tax compliance (e.g., WHT, VAT).
  6. Coordinate with external tax consultants or government authorities when required.

2. Finance Operations

  • Manage daily finance operations including payments processing, reimbursements, petty cash, and vendor settlements.
  • Handle accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR), ensuring accuracy and timely processing.
  • Perform bank reconciliations, monitor bank balances, and ensure proper documentation for all transactions.
  • Support month-end closing: accruals, prepayments, reconciliations, and financial schedules.
  • Maintain and improve finance SOPs, ensuring controls, consistency, and compliance.

3. Compliance & Documentation

  • Maintain organized and audit-ready financial documentation (digital and physical).
  • Support internal and external audits.
  • Ensure all company transactions follow financial policies and regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Knowledge of local accounting standards and tax regulations.
  • Experience with accounting software (e.g., Jurnal, Accurate, Xero, SAP, Oracle) is a plus
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and documentation discipline.
  • Good analytical skills and ability to work with numbers.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and coordination skills.
