Job Description
- New Business Opportunity Development:
- Identify potential markets and industrial sectors that require general insurance.
- Conduct research and analyze industry trends to support market penetration strategies.
- Develop and execute plans to acquire new customers (corporate & retail).
- Business Strategy & Execution
- Develop and implement short-term and long-term marketing and sales strategies.
- Collaborate with the marketing and underwriting teams to create products that meet market needs.
- Monitor the effectiveness of strategies and conduct evaluations to improve performance.
- Strategic Relationship Management
- Establishing relationships with brokers, agents, business partners, industry associations, and potential clients.
- Building strategic partnerships (partnerships or bundling programs) to expand distribution channels.
- Internal Coordination
- Collaborate with underwriting, product, finance, legal, and compliance teams to support the acquisition process.
- Provide market insights and input for product and service development.
- Reporting & Analysis
- Compiling prospect reports, sales pipelines, and target achievements.
- Analyzing the effectiveness of business programs and providing recommendations for improvement.
- Compliance & Regulation
- Ensuring that all business development activities comply with OJK regulations and internal company policies.
- Maintaining business ethics and confidentiality of company and partner information.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in Management, Economics, Business, Actuarial Science, or Insurance.
- 2–5 years of work experience in general insurance, especially in business development.
- Strong understanding of general insurance products and the dynamics of the insurance market in Indonesia.
- Communicative, with good networking, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Proactive, analytical, and highly target-oriented.
- Professional certification (A3IK, AAAIK) or basic insurance knowledge is preferred.
