Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and ensure the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of assigned tanker vessels in line with company policies and international regulations (ISM, MARPOL, SOLAS, OCIMF).
  • Conduct navigational and safety audits, incident investigations, and risk assessments.
  • Guide shipboard management on cargo handling, navigation, and safety procedures.
  • Support the Masters and Chief Officers to maintain high standards of performance and discipline onboard.
  • Liaise with charterers, terminals, and relevant authorities for operational readiness and compliance.
  • Participate in vetting inspections and ensure continuous improvement of fleet safety performance.

Requirements

  • Valid Certificate of Competency ANT-1 / ANT-2 (Master Mariner preferred).
  • Minimum 3 years sea-going experience on oil or chemical tankers as chief officer or master.
  • At least 2 years of shore-based experience as Marine/Operations Superintendent or similar role.
  • In-depth understanding of tanker operations, cargo handling, and marine safety management systems.
  • Excellent command of English, both written and spoken.
  • Proactive, disciplined, and willing to travel for vessel visits and inspections.
