About the Role
At Selong Selo, we believe that extraordinary culinary experiences are at the heart of memorable journeys. We are seeking a passionate and visionary Executive Chef to lead our culinary operations, bringing creativity, precision, and authenticity to every plate.
The Executive Chef will oversee all dining venues, including our signature restaurant, in-villa dining, and special events, ensuring each experience reflects the soul of Selong Selo where refined taste meets the natural beauty of Lombok.
Key Responsibilities
· Lead and inspire the culinary team to deliver exceptional dining experiences that reflect the resort's brand and philosophy.
· Curate innovative menus that celebrate local ingredients and global techniques, blending sustainability with creativity.
· Oversee all kitchen operations with a focus on quality, consistency, and presentation.
· Collaborate closely with the Food & Beverage and Operations teams to ensure seamless service across all outlets.
· Manage food and labour costs efficiently while maintaining high standards of excellence.
· Uphold the highest levels of hygiene, health, and safety in compliance with international standards.
· Foster a positive and collaborative kitchen culture that encourages growth, respect, and craftsmanship.
· Represent the culinary vision of the resort through special events, media, and guest interactions.
Qualifications & Experience
· Minimum 5–7 years of experience in a senior culinary leadership role within luxury resorts or fine dining environments.
· Deep understanding of both Western and Asian cuisines, with a flair for innovative, destination-driven menus.
· Proven track record in menu design, cost control, and kitchen management.
· Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to inspire and mentor diverse teams.
· Culinary degree or equivalent professional training.
· Fluent in English; additional languages are an advantage.
