Role Description

Green School Bali is a globally renowned Pre-K to 12 institution grounded in sustainability, creativity, and connection. We are seeking a passionate and collaborative Primary Teacher to join our dynamic and energetic Primary School Learning Neighborhood.

You will join the Primary School Learning Neighborhood team, working collaboratively to nurture curiosity, creativity, and well-being in our young learners. Mindfully engage children through meaningful, hands-on learning experiences that integrate exploration, communication, and social-emotional growth.

Position Criteria and Key Responsibilities

AS AN EDUCATOR, ARE YOU?

• Deep experience in project-based and inquiry-driven learning.
• Skilled in designing authentic, holistic assessment systems that reflect student growth and achievement across cognitive, creative, and social-emotional domains.
• Proficient in literacy and mathematics instruction.
• A positive, confident, and professional communicator who collaborates effectively with colleagues.
• Creative, optimistic, and effective when supporting student behavior and well-being through restorative practices and reflective dialogue.
• Fluent in English and comfortable working in a multicultural, multilingual learning environment.
• Regenerative Design: Design and deliver engaging, play-based, and inquiry-driven learning experiences using the BiRD Lab approach and the 4S Model (Sensing, Seeking, Shaping, Storytelling).
• Curriculum & Integration: Plan and implement a transdisciplinary, regenerative curriculum that integrates skills, values, and well-being into daily learning experiences.
• Holistic Well-being: Establish a classroom culture grounded in empathy, care, and mutual respect and integrate the Green School IRESPECT values into daily practice.
• Differentiation: Differentiate learning to meet the diverse developmental, linguistic, and social-emotional needs of each student.
• Collaboration: Engage in collaborative planning with co-teachers and teaching assistants to co-create, reflect, and adapt learning experiences based on student interests and developmental needs.
• Community: Communicate regularly and positively with families to share learning progress and demonstrate cultural sensitivity and foster belonging for all.

• A multicultural community of about 450 students with around 140 children across grades 1 to 5.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS (by Indonesian Law)

• Must hold at least a Bachelor degree in Primary Education or related field.
• Must have experience teaching in that field for a minimum of 5 years.
• Must be able to pass an HIV test (legally required).
• Must not have any previous criminal convictions (legally required).
• Must not have Child Protection concerns on file at previous schools or workplaces.
• Must be able to provide an original copy of certifications, transcripts, diplomas and degrees (legally required).
• Any successful candidate must be willing to learn and communicate in Bahasa Indonesia.
