Habitat for Humanity Indonesia is seeking the expertise, the Finance Officer who ensures accurate, timely, and compliant financial processing and reporting for donor-funded projects and national operations. He/she acts as the first-level financial control — reviewing the completeness of all supporting documents and verifying available budget before any payment is processed. The position contributes to transparency, accountability, and donor confidence through strong internal control, compliance, and coordination with both national and field teams

Key Responsibility:

  • Provide Financial and Budget Support: Supply financial data and budget details for project preparation and revisions.
  • Ensure Budget Compliance: Verify that proposed budgets meet donor requirements and HFHI cost recovery policy.
  • Check Budget Availability Before Payments: Use Project Cost Control (PCC) to confirm available budget lines prior to processing payment documents.
  • Review Payment Documents: Ensure PRs, POs, invoices, advances, and reimbursements are complete, properly signed, and within budget.
  • Record Transactions Accurately: Assist in coding and recording transactions in the accounting system (SUN System/ERP) and prepare journal vouchers.
  • Reconcile and Maintain Audit-Ready Documents: Reconcile cash, advances, and transactions; keep supporting documents organized for audits.
  • Prepare Financial Reports and Forecasts: Help create monthly summaries, donor schedules, cash forecasts, and fund transfer requests.
  • Manage Fixed Assets: Support accurate recording, tagging, and reconciliation of assets in coordination with Admin and Procurement.
  • Implement Internal Controls: Assist with petty cash counts, advance reconciliations, and report any irregularities or missing documents.
  • Coordinate and Communicate Effectively: Work with project finance and program teams for consistent documentation and participate in capacity-building sessions.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of work experience in finance/accounting (NGO experience preferred).
  • Familiar with accounting systems especially QuickBooks
  • Strong Excel skills and attention to detail.
  • Good communication skills in Bahasa Indonesia and English.
  • Upholds accountability, integrity, and confidentiality.
  • Domicile in Jakarta.
