Job Overview :

  • The IT / AX ERP Assistant Manager is responsible for the overall administration, optimization, and strategic development of the organization's Microsoft Dynamics AX (or Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations) ERP system. This role ensures that business processes are effectively supported by technology, oversees system integrations, manages IT infrastructure related to ERP, and leads cross-functional teams to deliver improvements, upgrades, and new implementations.

Job Desc :

  • Oversee daily operations, maintenance, and performance of the Microsoft Dynamics AX / D365 ERP system.

  • Manage user access, configurations, updates, and troubleshooting across all modules.

  • Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance within the ERP system.

  • Collaborate with department heads (Finance, Supply Chain, HR, Production, Sales, etc.) to understand operational needs.

  • Analyze current processes and redesign workflows to improve efficiency and system utilization.

  • Implement best practices and ensure standardization across all ERP functions.

  • Lead ERP-related projects including upgrades, enhancements, and new module implementation.

  • Coordinate with vendors, consultants, and developers for customization and integration.

  • Create functional specifications and validate technical developments.

  • Supervise IT systems, servers, databases, and network performance supporting ERP platforms.

  • Oversee IT security policies, backups, disaster recovery, and system monitoring.

  • Ensure smooth connectivity between ERP and third-party applications.

  • Provide guidance and support to users at all levels.

  • Develop training materials and conduct training sessions for system updates or new features.

  • Act as the main point of contact for ERP support issues, escalations, and resolutions.

  • Develop and maintain dashboards, KPIs, and custom reports (SSRS, Power BI, Excel, etc.).

  • Ensure data accuracy and availability for management decision-making.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.

  • Master's degree (MBA, MIS) is a plus.

  • 5–8+ years of experience in IT or ERP system management.

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX or

  • Proven experience managing ERP projects, system upgrades, and cross-functional implementations.

  • Experience in manufacturing, distribution, or supply-chain environments is highly preferred.

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics AX / Finance, Inventory, Procurement, Sales, Production (depending on company needs).

  • Experience with SQL Server, SSRS, Power BI, and data migration tools.

  • Familiarity with integrations using APIs, EDI, middleware (BizTalk, Azure), or third-party systems.

  • Good understanding of IT infrastructure: networking, servers, cloud systems (Azure), cybersecurity.

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.

  • Strong project management skills with the ability to lead cross-functional teams.

  • Effective communication skills for interacting with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • High attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

  • Strong leadership, coaching, and team-development capabilities.
