Position Overview

The Material Support Staff assists the Warehouse and Inventory Manager in preparing and organizing materials, tools, and components required by the production team. This role ensures smooth production flow by supporting cutting, gluing, assembling, labeling, and finishing activities in the workshop.

The Material Support Staff is responsible for ensuring that all materials are accurately prepared, organized, and delivered to the production line on time, following the established production schedule.


Key Responsibilities

1. Material Preparation

  • Prepare leather, fabrics, body bags, linings, trims, and hardware accessories based on production orders or schedules.
  • Check material quality, color, and quantity before issuing to the production line.
  • Label and arrange materials according to product style or batch number.

2. Coordination

  • Coordinate with Warehouse & Inventory Manager, PPIC, and Production teams to ensure smooth material flow.
  • Report any material shortage, damage, or mismatch to the supervisor immediately.
  • Support production with daily material requests and replenishments.

3. Documentation & Reporting

  • Record issued and returned materials accurately in the log sheet or system.
  • Support the preparation of daily or weekly material usage reports.
  • Assist the Warehouse and Inventory Manager in monthly inventory control activities.

4. Housekeeping & Safety

  • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in the material preparation area.
  • Follow company safety and quality standards at all times.

Qualifications

  • Minimum: High School or Diploma in Textile, Garment, or related field.
  • Experience in garment or fashion production is an advantage.
  • Basic knowledge of fabric types, trims, and production flow.
  • Eager to learn and support creative production processes.
  • Detail-oriented, disciplined, and able to work under deadlines.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
