Job Description

Job Title: Lead Educator

Job Summary:

Aristotle Teachers is seeking a highly experienced and visionary Lead Educator to lead and inspire our students and staff. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for driving academic excellence, managing staff, and promoting a positive school culture.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Teaching and Learning:
    • Develop and implement effective teaching strategies to ensure high-quality education for all students.
    • Monitor and evaluate the quality of learning and teaching, ensuring that proper standards of professional performance are established and maintained.
    • Assess and support the progress of individual students, ensuring that their needs are met.
    • Encourage staff to engage in ongoing professional development to enhance their teaching practices.
  • People Management:
    • Lead the selection and appointment of teaching and non-teaching staff.
    • Deploy and manage staff, allocating duties and responsibilities as needed.
    • Ensure that all employees receive the necessary information to perform their duties effectively.
    • Lead, support, challenge, and develop staff at all levels to secure continuous improvement.
    • Conduct rigorous staff appraisals and participate in teacher performance evaluations.
  • School Development and Promotion:
    • Promote a clear vision, direction, and intended outcomes in leading and managing school development planning.
    • Establish, implement, and review procedures for promoting and marketing the school, encouraging staff involvement.
    • Recruit and retain students, maintaining and developing the school's academic standing.
    • Develop and sustain good relationships with feeder schools.
  • Resources:
    • Plan, manage, allocate, and account for human, financial, and material resources.
    • Ensure that the school complies with all statutory and regulatory requirements.
    • Administer the school's health and safety policy for the entire school community.
  • Communications:
    • Establish and maintain excellent communication throughout the school community, internally and externally.
    • Maintain and develop good relationships and communication within and beyond the school community to promote understanding and support for the school's aims, values, and performance.
    • Develop and maintain contacts with other heads and schools, professional associations for the benefit of the school.
Requirements:
  • Qualifications:
    • Master's degree
    • 5-10 years of leadership experience in a school setting
    • Experience in an international school environment
    • Familiarity with international education standards and practices
    • Strong leadership qualities to inspire and motivate staff
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective engagement with students, parents, and the community
