About the Role:
Merck Gruppe is seeking a highly skilled Healthcare Communications Specialist to join its dynamic team. This key position plays a pivotal role in shaping impactful narratives and strategies that elevate our therapeutic areas. The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams and engage with key stakeholders, driving disease awareness and enhancing corporate communications.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Craft compelling stories and content that resonate across our Therapeutic Areas, ensuring alignment with our mission to improve patient outcomes.
  • Partner with Product Managers and Medical teams to design and execute innovative disease awareness programs that engage healthcare professionals and patients.
  • Provide strategic insights and recommendations to Business Unit Directors (BUD) and Product Managers (PM) to optimize communication strategies and enhance market positioning.
  • Collaborate with regional communications teams to share best practices and leverage collective expertise to drive communication excellence.
  • Supervise and evaluate the performance of agency partners against key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure the delivery of high-quality communications.
  • Work alongside Medical teams to engage with KOLs, including patient organizations and healthcare professionals, to foster relationships and gather insights.
  • Ensure all communication programs adhere to compliance standards, including Quality Control (QC), and Veritas, act as program lead for Patient Data Collection Systems (PDCS), ensure timely reporting of adverse events to the Shared Service Centre Asia and the Local Pharmacovigilance Responsible Person.
  • Update and manage healthcare campaigns on internal channels (EVA, email blasts, etc.), ensuring consistent messaging across the organization.
  • Maintain comprehensive activity reports and documentation to track progress and outcomes of communication initiatives.
  • Update and maintain an up-to-date media and journalist list to facilitate effective outreach.
  • Lead media relations activities, including public exposure, press briefings, and press kit development, to enhance corporate visibility.
  • Conduct media monitoring to assess the impact of communications and inform future strategies.
  • Provide data-driven healthcare narratives for the Annual Report, showcasing our commitment to innovation and patient care.
  • Participate in cross-functional event management to promote our corporate initiatives and values.
  • Engage in issues and crisis communications management to protect and enhance our corporate reputation.
