Job Description

As the Nickel Smelter Operations Director, you will be responsible for overseeing daily operations at the smelting facility, developing strategies to enhance productivity and efficiency, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

  • Manage and optimize the smelting process to improve overall efficiency.
  • Develop and implement operational strategies to drive productivity and minimize costs.
  • Ensure all operations meet or exceed industry standards for safety and quality.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of operations staff.
  • Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to ensure equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
The Ideal Candidate
  • Bachelor's degree in Metallurgy, Chemical Engineering, Mining Engineering, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 15 years of experience in smelting operations, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within the mining industry.
  • Strong knowledge of nickel smelting processes and technologies.
  • Proven track record of managing large teams and driving operational excellence.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
