Director of Plant Equipment Operations

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced Director of Plant Equipment Operations to join our team.

In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the management of all heavy equipment, ensuring operational readiness, optimal utilization, and timely maintenance. Key responsibilities include developing and implementing a workshop management plan to support repairs, preventive maintenance, and equipment overhauls.

The successful candidate will also establish preventive and predictive maintenance schedules for all heavy equipment to minimize downtime and prolong asset life. Additionally, this role requires working with maintenance teams to diagnose equipment issues and oversee repair processes to reduce operational disruptions.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Oversee the management of all heavy equipment, ensuring operational readiness and optimal utilization.
  • Develop and implement a workshop management plan to support repairs and maintenance.
  • Establish preventive and predictive maintenance schedules for all heavy equipment.
  • Work with maintenance teams to diagnose equipment issues and oversee repair processes.
  • Prepare and present reports on asset status, financial performance, and workshop operations.
