Job Description

  • The Senior Pricing Actuary will be responsible for developing and implementing pricing strategies that align with the company's overall goals and objectives.
  • They will work closely with cross-functional teams to analyze market trends, customer preferences, and competitor activity to inform pricing decisions.
  • This role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of actuarial science and mathematics, as well as experience working in the life insurance industry.
  • They will be able to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team to achieve business objectives.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  1. A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, or Statistics.
  2. Minimum 7 years of experience in actuarial roles in the life insurance industry, including pricing, valuation, risk management, or related fields.
  3. FSA, FSAI, or equivalent certification.
  4. Excellent analytical ability to solve complex problems and sound actuarial judgment to recommend balanced decisions for the business.
  5. Strong verbal and written communication skills to convey key ideas and results clearly tailored to the target audience.
  6. People leadership skills to provide an inclusive and engaging environment, build capabilities, and manage for high performance.
  7. Organizational skills, time management, and prioritization to balance multiple concurrent deliverables in a fast-paced environment while ensuring quality output.
  8. Strong negotiating and influencing skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues across the organization and external stakeholders.
