HSBC Indonesia Risk Management is a thriving and expert risk management function supporting HSBC Indonesia with all aspects of risk management. The function actively manages a varied and dynamic range of risk types, across financial and non-financial risk taxonomies. All parts of the Risk team use their skills, insight and integrity to handle established threats and those they see emerging, acting to protect and enable HSBC to deliver sustainable growth.

We are now inviting qualified individuals to join as **Associate Vice President / Vice President Wholesale Credit Risk **team in Portfolio Management role.

**Responsibilities**:
The role is a key risk management role with a broad remit and responsibilities including:

- Support strategic portfolio risk management for HBID Wholesale Banking (WSB) through Portfolio Oversight Committee, Country Oversight Review and Credit Policy Committee.
- Conduct risk profile assessment for fulfillment of the regulatory framework on the Individual, Integrated & Consolidated Risk Management part of the Financial Conglomeration for credit risk assessment as per local regulatory requirement.
- Lead discussion on setting the Credit Risk Appetite and Country Risk Plan with WSB and other key stakeholders.
- Perform identification, measurement, monitoring and management function in order to minimize credit risk of WSB portfolio.
- Engage with senior management in the Business and Risk to identify emerging trends in the wholesale market (WSB) and adjust our risk appetite accordingly.
- Lead stress testing activities in lie with the best practice for the purpose of credit risk management, compliance with regulatory framework and meeting enterprise-wide stress testing needs.
- Review new product due diligence and ensure the credit risk is identified and mitigated.
- Provide oversight on the implementation on credit risk policy and to escalate if there is any policy exception.
Qualifications

**To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements**:

- This job role coverage demands the job holder to master and have sufficient knowledge of wholesale credit risk strong understanding of local regular requirement related to credit risk management.
- Demanding role - working in an environment of significant ambiguity - with pressures to provide expertise / decision making / guidance across multiple businesses.
- Challenges in macro-economic conditions which may lead to deterioration credit quality on Wholesale Banking Portfolio.
- Pressure to maintain the ratio of NPL, credit reserves and high-risk exposure in accordance with the Bank’s appetite.
- Manage various projects that often have competing priorities across a variety of areas of the wholesale bank, with the composure to deal with often critical tasks at the time of crisis management.
- Flexible to adapt to new approaches in wholesale portfolio risk management which is still evolving within wholesale business segment of HSBC.
- Have the confidence and ability to present information to management in a clear and succinct manner to inform and initiate decision making.
