We have an opportunity for a **Head** **ASEAN and Indonesia Government Relations **to join the Boeing International (BI) team. Based in **Jakarta, Indonesia** the role will support Boeing's Southeast Asia President and Indonesia Managing Director to establish and implement the company's strategic vision to achieve growth and productivity objectives.

The Boeing International organization is responsible for leading the development and execution of enterprise-wide global, regional, and country strategies across all Boeing businesses, in close coordination with the business and functional leaders. It also takes the lead on international government relations, providing direction and management of the company’s interface activity with foreign governments and officials, industry leaders, media, policy and academic institutions in all areas of aerospace industry and related activities. It provides guidance and coordination of enterprise-wide country and regional strategies and policies to promote Boeing’s international business activities.

**Position Responsibilities**:
The Head ASEAN and Indonesia Government Relations will support the President of Southeast Asia and the Indonesia Managing Director in coordinating and collaborating with the business units, functions and other company entities (subsidiaries, joint ventures, etc.) to achieve their strategic goals and business objectives. In particular, the role will include the following duties as specifically directed by the Country Vice-President:

- Regularly interfaces with Boeing business units to enable integrated approach to business, knowledge of key business, campaigns and partnership activities
- Supports, develops and (as appropriate) leads all government relations activities in Indonesia and across ASEAN
- Works closely with Boeing regional leadership and communications on all significant press and media engagement
- Develops and strengthens relationships with all regional stakeholders and
- Identifies business development opportunities for Boeing in potential regional growth markets
- Acts as Government relations focal on country and regional strategies
- Acts as the in-house market expert and ensures team is kept up to date with significant market intelligence and geopolitical issues
- Supports or leads (as appropriate) on the implementation of enterprise and business initiatives

**Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)**:

- At least 10 years of experience in a similar role with multinational corporations, associations and/or within Government.
- Willing to travel as required
- Bachelors degree in relevant concentration.
- Fluency in written and spoken English.
- Fluency in written and spoken Bahasa Indonesia.

**Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)**:

- Prior experience at a Fortune 500 company (or equivalent)
- Demonstrated business acumen and ability to identify business opportunities
- Evidence of successful interactions with governmental entities in Indonesia and across ASEAN
- Demonstrable ability to conduct research, analyze materials and prepare concise report on findings
- Demonstrable ability to successfully navigate a complex and matrixed organization structure

**Typical Education & Experience**:

- Bachelor's degree required; Master’s degree or higher preferred.

- Travel up to 25% will be required. Travel eligibility within Indonesia, to other ASEAN countries (such as Malaysia, Vietnam, Philippines, Thailand, Singapore, etc) and to the USA is needed.
