To sustain the growth of the company as the expansion of our services, we are currently looking for a **Medical Insurance Doctor.**

**You are a Medical Doctor with an interest in Insurance and Assistance.**

**Join our dynamic medical team in April International**

**You will report to the Head of Medical. You will provide your medical expertise to other departments, such as the Underwriting, Claims, and Assistance teams. You will oversee complex medical cases and provide case management to the clients when they need it the most.**

**Main responsibilities: Medical expertise**
- Work closely with the operational team and assess and decide on the medical necessity of IPMI and Assistance cases using evidence-based medicine.
- Help the teams to assess the cost-effectiveness of the medical treatment
- Collaborate with doctors to obtain information needed to assess a case
- Provide support to the client with complex cases as part of the case management
- Assist other Operation teams with any questions medical related
- Perform Medical audit of the providers within APRIL Network
- Recommend a doctor or a provider when there is a specific request from a client or team
- You will work during office hours and will be on call on weekdays night for any emergency case.

**Skills and experience**
- Doctor of Medicine with a valid license in the country of graduation
- Experience in the insurance or assistance sector would be a plus
- Being structured and detail orientated
- Problem-solving ability
- Confident to challenge a decision and provide argumentation to support it
- Capacity to work under limited supervision and to take the initiative
- Excellent written and communication skills
- Fluent in English
