Manager of Category Development

Develop and implement a comprehensive merchant acquisition strategy to attract and onboard new merchants to the platform or service.
- Build relationships with potential merchants across various industries, identifying key value propositions to secure new partnerships.
- Lead a team to identify, pitch, and close merchant partnerships in alignment with the company’s growth goals.
- Analyze merchant data and market trends to target the most promising segments and maximize merchant engagement.
- Develop and execute category strategies to achieve sales and margin goals.
- Conduct market analysis to identify growth opportunities within key product categories.
- Lead a team responsible for optimizing product assortment and pricing strategies across categories.
- Oversee seller performance management, including monitoring KPIs, sales targets, and compliance with company standards.
- Manage and streamline seller onboarding processes to ensure efficient integration into the platform.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (marketing, operations, logistics) to drive product availability, timely deliveries, and a superior customer experience.
- Use data-driven insights to monitor category performance, identify gaps, and implement corrective actions.
- Develop detailed reports and presentations for senior leadership on category performance, seller health, and strategic initiatives.
- Minimum Qualifications: Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or a related field
- Minimum 7 years of experience in business development, acquisitions, or corporate strategy.
- Proven track record in closing successful deals, acquisitions, or partnerships, with demonstrated leadership.
- Experience in managing a team and working with senior leadership on strategic initiatives.
- Special Skills : business strategy, business development/acquisition backgroud is a must.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights and strategies.
- Exceptional negotiation and contract management skills.
- Languange Ability : Bahasa, English, Mandarin is an advantage
