What will you do

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager with a strong background in civil and structural engineering to lead and manage maritime structure projects. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in design and consultancy for maritime infrastructure and demonstrate leadership in delivering projects to international standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage engineering teams in the design and delivery of maritime structures.
  • Oversee all design stages, from feasibility and concept through FEED and detailed engineering design (DED).
  • Ensure compliance with international standards and guidelines (BS 6349, Eurocode, American standards, OCIMF, PIANC).
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders to achieve project objectives.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers.
  • Support project management activities, including planning, budgeting, and resource allocation.
  • Conduct site visits and provide engineering support during construction phases.
  • Mentor and develop subordinate engineers, fostering technical growth and professional development.

What you bring
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
  • 10–15 years in maritime consultancy or contractor engineering (contractor experience desirable).
  • Demonstrable experience designing maritime structures to international standards (e.g., BS 6349).
  • Familiarity with design codes (Eurocode, American standards) and guidelines (OCIMF, PIANC).
  • Knowledge of various design stages: feasibility, concept, FEED, and DED.
  • Project management experience is desirable.
  • Site engineering experience is desirable.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and teams effectively.
  • Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
