About the company

Geekhunter is hiring on behalf of our client, a company pioneering an industry transformation by revolutionising the shrimp sector through an advanced management system.

Job Responsibilities

  • Succession Planning: Develop strategic succession frameworks to secure a reliable pipeline of skilled personnel for the aquaculture sector. 
  • Operational Development: Collaborate closely with technical teams to design, refine, and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) that uphold operational excellence.
  • Cultivation Management: Assess cultivation performance and outcomes to inform strategies for upcoming cycles, ensuring continuous improvement.
  • Team Development: Identify high-potential field staff and execute tailored development initiatives to nurture leadership and technical growth.
  • Aquaculture Support Programs: Conduct research and design initiatives that reinforce best practices in shrimp farming and sustainable aquaculture.
  • Team Supervision: Lead and mentor the Executive Pond Development team, fostering a culture of accountability and capability building.
  • Cultivation Oversight: Oversee all shrimp cultivation activities across the company's operational sites to ensure alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Comprehensive Pond Management: Assume full accountability for pond operations, including workforce planning and budget formulation.
  • Integrated Planning: Contribute to cross-functional planning efforts involving pond operations and systems management.
  • Resource Coordination: Ensure efficient procurement and utilisation of pond materials critical to the success of each cultivation phase.

Job Requirements

  • Education: Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Fisheries or a related field. 
  • Professional Experience: Minimum of 4 years in a relevant role within the aquaculture industry. At least 3 years managing Shrimp Pond
  • Technical Expertise: Deep understanding of shrimp farming and aquaculture principles.
  • Leadership & Communication: Demonstrates strong leadership acumen and proficient interpersonal communication skills.
  • Analytical Thinking: Possesses advanced analytical capabilities, essential for operational decision-making.
  • Knowledge Base: Thorough grasp of shrimp cultivation processes, management methodologies, and learning principles.
  • Digital Literacy: Proficient in productivity tools including Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication, adaptable to cross-functional and cross-cultural environments.
