Concept Designer Specialist will be responsible for developing creative design concepts and visual narratives that bring Taman Safari Indonesia's attractions, experiences, and facilities to life. This role combines ideation, visual development, and collaboration to translate strategic objectives into compelling design concepts that align with the organization's vision of conservation, education, and recreation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop concept artwork, sketches, mood boards, and illustrations for proposed attractions and experiences.
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions and blue sky thinking with creative leads for collaborative ideation.
  • Translate abstract ideas into clear visual representations across multiple stages.
  • Integrate AI tools to enhance ideation, mood-boarding, visual variation, and storytelling development.
  • Conduct research on design trends, relevant references (from art, architecture, culture, and entertainment), and guest experience innovations to support concept development.
  • Refine concepts into detailed design directions in collaboration with architects, engineers, and fabrication vendors.
  • Support the development of design presentations and pitch decks for internal leadership and external stakeholders.

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including project management, marketing, operations, and technical teams, to ensure concepts meet functional requirements and brand standards.

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Illustration, Concept/Visual Art, Visual Communication Design, Architecture, or a related creative discipline.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of professional experience in concept design, preferably in themed entertainment, experiential design, or related fields.
  • Strong sketching and digital painting/rendering skills (Photoshop, Procreate, etc.).
  • Proficient in design and visualization tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, AutoCAD, or similar).
  • Experience with AI generative tools to explore creative directions while maintaining a clear artistic voice.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills to engage with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Experience working in a highly collaborative and fast-paced environment.
  • Creative thinking with a strong attention to detail and an understanding of guest-centered design principles.
  • A portfolio demonstrating design process and creative achievements (required for consideration).
