Position Overview
We are launching an exciting new venture in Uluwatu, Bali: a vibrant coffee booth and rooftop cafe situated atop a modern pilates studio. This unique concept blends wellness, community, and high-quality coffee and cuisine in a relaxed, tropical setting. We are seeking a dynamic Executive Chef / Manager to join our team and play a pivotal role in bringing this vision to life. The ideal candidate will oversee the final kitchen fitout, menu development, and launch preparations, while transitioning into ongoing operational management. This is a hands-on leadership position with a competitive basic salary plus profit-sharing incentives, rewarding your contributions to our success.
Location: Uluwatu, Bali (Candidates must currently reside in Bali to be considered.)

Start Date: Immediate/as soon as possible
Compensation: Competitive basic salary + profit share based on performance and business profitability.
- Lead the final decisions on kitchen fitout, including equipment selection, layout design, and ensuring compliance with local health and safety regulations to create an efficient, functional space.
- Develop and curate innovative menus for the coffee booth and rooftop cafe, focusing on fresh, health-conscious options that appeal to wellness enthusiasts, locals, and tourists (e.g., specialty coffees, light bites, smoothies, and plant-based dishes).
- Collaborate with the ownership team on sourcing high-quality ingredients, suppliers, and sustainable practices aligned with Bali's eco-friendly ethos.
- Oversee the recruitment, training, and management of kitchen and front-of-house staff to build a cohesive team.
- Manage daily operations post-launch, including inventory control, cost management, quality assurance, and customer experience to drive profitability.
- Monitor food costs, portion control, and waste reduction to optimize profit margins.
- Ensure seamless integration with the pilates studio below, promoting cross-promotions and a unified brand experience.
- Handle launch events, marketing tie-ins, and initial promotions to establish the venue as a go-to spot in Uluwatu.
- Maintain high standards of hygiene, food safety, and service excellence in line with Bali's hospitality regulations.
- Proven experience as an Executive Chef or Kitchen Manager in a cafe, restaurant, or similar hospitality setting, with at least 5 years in culinary leadership roles.
- Strong expertise in menu creation, particularly with coffee-focused beverages, healthy eats, and fusion cuisine inspired by Bali's local flavors.
- Demonstrated ability to manage kitchen fitouts or renovations, with knowledge of commercial kitchen design and equipment.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a track record of motivating staff and fostering a positive work environment.
- Familiarity with Bali's food scene, suppliers, and regulatory environment (e.g., Halal considerations, import rules).
- Must currently reside in Bali (no relocation assistance available).
- Passion for wellness, sustainability, and creating memorable guest experiences.
- Proficiency in English; Bahasa Indonesia is a plus.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings, as required in hospitality.
- Culinary degree or equivalent certification preferred, but not mandatory if backed by substantial experience.
- A basic salary commensurate with experience, plus a generous profit-sharing model to reward your impact on the business's growth.
