What will you do?

In this position, you will join our growing Indonesia Built Environment business, where you will play an integral part in a team of highly skilled specialists that 'bring ideas to life' for our clients across all types of building and infrastructure projects.

Project Delivery

• Responsible for the success of technical aspects of projects won or allocated.

• Ensure the adequate contribution of mechanical engineering knowledge and project experience to the competencies and services

• Provide specialized mechanical engineering expertise and oversee all technical aspects of the project (i.e. perform the role of a technical expert)

• Develop and design mechanical systems, including HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning), plumbing, and fire protection systems.

• Implement and maintain quality assurance processes specific to mechanical engineering to ensure project deliverables meet the required standards.

• Conduct site inspections to verify the installation of mechanical systems and ensure they meet design specifications.

• Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including electrical, architects, civil engineers, structural engineers and other stake holders to ensure seamless project execution and resolve any technical issue.

• Maintain regular communication with clients to provide updates on mechanical engineering aspects, gather feedback, and ensure their requirements are met.

• Ensure all mechanical engineering designs and implementations comply with relevant standards, local building code and regulations.

• Prepare and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including mechanical design calculations and reports, equipment specifications, progress updates, and final project deliverables.

Winning Work & Client Relationships

• Support the preparation of client proposals and tenders by providing relevant technical input, scope definition, and estimated effort in coordination with the Project Lead teams.

• Contribute to the ongoing marketing and promotion of Aurecon's capabilities by participating in knowledge sharing, and maintaining positive relationships with clients and partners.

Financial management

• Support the project Lead in monitoring the financial performance of assigned tasks to ensure delivery within agreed budgets and timelines.

• Proactively track and report progress, identify potential variations, and assist in maintaining alignment between project scope, resources, and commercial objectives.

General Management 

• Responsible for the compliance to company policies and procedures, legislative requirements and act as a role model for Aurecon's values and behaviors

• Demonstrate safety leadership in all aspects of Aurecon's business

• Provide input into Unit or office business planning, as requested

What can you bring to the team?

Firstly, you will share our genuine passion for re-imagining engineering and be someone that actively pursues continuous learning to help shape the future. You will also need the following: 

• A Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, with minimum 8 years' relevant experience in Buildings Mechanical Design and commissioning of M&E systems in modern commercial and industrial buildings. Data Centre Experience will be preferred.

• Demonstrated leadership and team management ability

• High level engineering consulting and client management skills

• Experienced in the delivery of major and/or complex design projects to blue chip clients

• Excellent communicator (in both English and Bahasa) with well-developed commercial, analytical and technical skills

• Sense-making communication skills, being able to explain complex engineering designs and solutions to non-technical audiences

• Experienced in delivering innovative and complex commercial building projects in a fast paced environment

• Experience or interest in managing projects from strategic and detailed planning, concept and detailed design
