We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer Manager to oversee all mechanical engineering functions within our data center operations. This role will lead and mentor a team of mechanical engineers, ensuring all systemsHVAC, cooling, fire suppression, and mechanical infrastructureare designed, operated, and maintained to the highest standards.

The Mechanical Engineer Manager will be responsible for end-to-end oversight of mechanical systems, from project planning and installation to commissioning, operations, and troubleshooting. This includes ensuring system reliability, improving efficiency, driving preventive maintenance programs, and coordinating with cross-functional teams to support operational uptime.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the mechanical engineering team, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance oversight.
  • Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of mechanical systems in data center facilities.
  • Ensure all mechanical systems meet operational, safety, and compliance standards.
  • Develop and execute preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
  • Support capacity planning, system upgrades, and optimization initiatives.
  • Collaborate with electrical, operations, and project management teams on infrastructure projects.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical issues and provide technical guidance during critical incidents.
  • Review engineering documents, specifications, and vendor proposals.
  • Drive continuous improvement for system efficiency, reliability, and sustainability.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant mechanical engineering experience, preferably within data center, mission-critical, or industrial facilities.
  • Proven experience leading an engineering team.
  • Strong understanding of HVAC, chilled water systems, CRAC/CRAH, cooling towers, and mechanical redundancy concepts.
  • Solid knowledge of mechanical design, commissioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
