We are seeking a dedicated IT Cybersecurity Expert to oversee and enhance the cybersecurity framework within the Energy sector.

Description

As a IT Cybersecurity Expert, your main responsibilities will include:

  • Formulating and executing a holistic cybersecurity strategy that supports the organisation's overall objectives.
  • Leading efforts to identify, assess, and mitigate security risks across the Technology function.
  • Ensuring adherence to cybersecurity regulations and industry best practices specific to the Energy sector.
  • Managing and guiding a team of cybersecurity specialists to deliver on departmental priorities.
  • Performing routine security reviews and vulnerability assessments to protect critical digital infrastructure.
  • Partnering with cross-functional teams to integrate secure practices into technology initiatives.
  • Overseeing timely detection, response, and resolution of cybersecurity incidents.
  • Keeping abreast of emerging cybersecurity trends and threats to continuously strengthen security frameworks.

Profile

A successful IT Cybersecurity Expert should have:

  • In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity principles, frameworks, and industry best practices.
  • Demonstrated experience overseeing cybersecurity operations in highly regulated sectors; prior exposure to the Energy or Natural Resources industry is an advantage.
  • Skilled in risk management, incident response, and the use of security assessment tools.
  • Holds a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
  • Strong leadership abilities coupled with excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Proven capacity to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners.
  • Dedicated to continuous learning and staying informed on emerging cybersecurity trends and threats.
