We are looking for a skilled and committed Section Chef (Western & Asian) to manage daily food preparation and operations within the assigned section while maintaining high quality, consistency, and hygiene standards in our club kitchen.
Job Description
- Lead and manage daily kitchen operations within the assigned Western or Asian section
- Prepare, cook, and present dishes according to established recipes and quality standards
- Ensure food quality, consistency, and presentation meet club standards
- Supervise and guide cooks and kitchen helpers within the section
- Assist with mise-en-place and ensure readiness before service
- Monitor portion control and minimize food waste
- Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and kitchen SOPs
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and proper use of kitchen equipment
- Coordinate with Sous Chef regarding daily operations and kitchen requirements
Key Requirements
- Minimum Diploma or professional certification in Culinary Arts or related field
- Minimum 2 years of experience as Section Chef or Chef de Partie (Western or Asian cuisine)
- Experience in club, restaurant, hotel, or hospitality environment
- Ability to communicate in English for kitchen operations
- Good leadership, communication, and teamwork skills
- Strong knowledge of Western or Asian cuisine techniques and presentation
- Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Disciplined, responsible, detail-oriented, and well-organized
- Willing to work in shifts, including weekends and public holidays
