Business Development Manager – Education & Employment Ecosystem

to work under the guidance of our CMO, Commercial Lead and Marketing/LeadGen Lead. You'll get great coaching and support and be working in a team of people focused on high-performance. 

We're a B2B SaaS/PaaS business selling into talent acquisition, talent management, university student admissions and now extending to MSMEs. We serve global brands and our business is category leader in Southeast Asia. Example clients are Telkom Akses, Kereta Api Indonesia, Sampoerna, Kompas Group, NTU, National University of Singapore, Shopee, BCG, Nestle & more. We're remote-first with hubs in Jakarta, Bandung and a presence in Singapore and Australia.

About This Role

As our
Business Development Manager – Education & Employment Ecosystem

you will be responsible for:

  • Identify, approach, and secure collaborations with universities, jobs boards, government bodies, student communities, and professional organizations that can help ASTRNT accelerate our business objectives.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with partners, ensuring collaboration activities that align with ASTRNT's growth objectives and brand positioning.
  • Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of partnership activities that positively contribute to ASTRNT achieving agreed growth objectives and brand positioning.
  • Act as the primary project manager for partnership initiatives — setting timelines, managing stakeholders, and ensuring deliverables are achieved on schedule.
  • Track, report, and analyze partnership performance to identify opportunities for improvement and new areas for collaboration.

  • Have strong existing relationships with universities or prior experience working in the education or jobs-employment platform industry.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain partnerships with clear communication, client/partner focus, and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent project management skills, capable of planning, coordinating, and executing partnership activities end-to-end.
  • Demonstrated process improvement mindset — continuously seeking more efficient and scalable ways to work, whether through technology or operational innovation.
  • Highly organized, proactive, and detail-oriented; able to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Good command in English and excellent in Bahasa Indonesia.
  • High integrity and ability to work with low supervision (remote setting).
  • Able to work in a remote-first hybrid setup, with mandatory in-office days at our Jakarta office.
  • Must use a personal device (Bring Your Own Device), ensuring security & performance compliance.
  • Be able to work from home in an environment free from distractions, attending virtual video meetings.
