Merchandising Manager
to own product strategy, assortment, and inventory performance across our retail network.

The Role

The Merchandising Manager is responsible for
what we sell, how we sell it, and how we optimize product performance
across all stores. This role focuses on assortment planning, demand forecasting, pricing, stock optimization, and visual merchandising direction, working closely with Retail Operations and brand partners.

Key Responsibilities

Merchandise Strategy & Assortment

  • Define product assortment by category, brand, price point, and store format
  • Plan seasonal and ongoing merchandise strategies aligned with sales and margin targets
  • Identify category gaps, hero SKUs, and growth opportunities

Buying & Inventory Planning

  • Forecast demand and recommend purchase quantities by SKU and store
  • Manage stock depth, replenishment, and inter-store transfers
  • Monitor sell-through, weeks of cover, and aging inventory to minimize dead stock

Pricing & Margin Management

  • Set and manage retail pricing strategies
  • Monitor gross margin performance by category and SKU
  • Plan markdowns, promotions, bundles, and clearance strategies

Visual Merchandising Direction

  • Define planograms, product zoning, and in-store merchandising guidelines
  • Ensure product presentation supports conversion and brand positioning
  • Work with Retail Operations to ensure consistent execution in stores

Performance & Reporting

  • Analyze sales, inventory, and category performance data
  • Produce actionable insights and recommendations for management
  • Track KPIs including sell-through, inventory turnover, and margin

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in merchandising, buying, or category management (retail or consumer goods), plus points for premium products
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into commercial decisions
  • Solid understanding of retail inventory planning and pricing strategies
  • Experience working with multiple stores is a strong plus
  • Comfortable collaborating cross-functionally with operations and suppliers
  • Experience in sports, lifestyle, or specialty retail is an advantage
  • (BONUS) if you play racket sports
