Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Chef De Partie Bakery specializing in pastries and cakes, located in Jakarta. The Chef De Partie will oversee the preparation and presentation of high-quality pastries and cakes, ensure consistent quality, and maintain kitchen safety and hygiene standards. Responsibilities also include managing kitchen staff, monitoring food inventory, and collaborating with the head chef to create new recipes and implement innovative techniques. The role requires effective team collaboration and adherence to company standards.
Qualifications
- Strong expertise in pastry and cake preparation, presentation, and decorating
- Experience in planning and creating innovative dessert recipes and menus
- Proficiency in recognizing and using baking tools, techniques, and equipment effectively
- Knowledge of food safety guidelines and maintaining hygiene standards in a kitchen environment
- Team leadership and time-management skills, with the ability to coordinate with kitchen staff and manage workflow efficiently
- At least 3 years of experience in a similar role in the food service or hospitality industry
- A culinary degree in pastry arts or a related field is preferred
- Creative mindset with attention to detail and a passion for artisanal baking
