Project Control Engineer

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain project baselines (schedule, cost, and scope) together with the project team.
  • Prepare and update the Project Schedule using tools such as Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project.
  • Perform cost control activities including budget monitoring, cash flow, forecasting, and cost variance analysis.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports on overall project performance.
  • Conduct risk analysis and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Identify potential delays and provide recommendations for corrective actions.
  • Coordinate progress data with engineering, procurement, and construction teams.
  • Develop and maintain the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS).
  • Support project manager in change management processes (scope changes, impact analysis).
  • Evaluate contractor and vendor performance based on schedule and cost achievement.
  • Prepare project documents such as baselines, S-curves, manpower histograms, and cost control reports.
  • Support claim management related to cost or schedule deviations.
  • Ensure all project activities comply with safety, quality, and company procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in project control, project planning, or project management (depending on level).
  • Proficient in Primavera, MS Project, advanced Excel, and project analysis tools.
  • Strong understanding of Earned Value Management (EVM), budgeting, forecasting, and cost engineering principles.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Detail-oriented, well-organized, and able to work under pressure.
  • Good communication skills with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Willing to be placed in any project site
