Printing Process Engineer

Responsible for establishing and maintaining production process standards for aseptic packaging materials in the Printing Area, as well as driving continuous improvement of those standards. This role also involves implementing and following up on activities related to new product and process introductions.

Responsibilities:

  • Establish and maintain production process standards for each step and product within the printing cell, including design, plate making, ink room, and printer machine processes.
  • Define and set process parameters, equipment settings, and operating methods, while developing the necessary documentation to support production operations.
  • Provide support in developing and training production operators to ensure adherence to process standards.
  • Collaborate with project engineers to develop and enhance production processes.
  • Establish new process standards for new products or processes introduced to the production line.
  • Work closely with the Quality team to define, monitor, and improve Quality Control Points (QCPs).
  • Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives and cross-functional improvement teams.

Qualifications:

  • More than 5 years of experience in printing processes within flexible packaging or paper manufacturing.
  • Strong knowledge of the flexible packaging or paper industry.
  • Proficient in Flexographic, Rotogravure, plate making, and design processes.
  • Preferably experienced in operating high-speed Central Impression (CI) wide-band printer machines.
  • Solid understanding of Lean Six Sigma, TPM, Kaizen, WCM, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
