Our activities range from planting and harvesting palm trees, processing fresh fruit bunches (FFB) into crude palm oil (CPO) and palm kernel, to further processing CPO into value-added products like cooking oil, margarine, shortening, biodiesel, and oleochemicals. We operate 16 palm oil mills, 4 palm kernel processing plants, and 4 refineries in Indonesia. Established in 1962 and listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange since 1992, SMART is headquartered in Jakarta and operates under the umbrella of Golden Agri-Resources (GAR). Our brands, including Filma and Kunci Mas, are well-recognized in Indonesia.

Role Description

This is a contract role based in Jakarta for a Technology Adoption Specialist. The Technology Deployment Specialist will be responsible for installing and configuring hardware and software systems, providing technical support, troubleshooting systems, and ensuring successful deployment of technology. Other tasks include identifying and resolving technical issues, conducting system tests, and training users on new technology systems and applications.

Key Responsibility

  • Conduct socialization of new initiatives to operational through presentations, demos, and technical discussions.
  • Lead or assist technical meetings with field stakeholders.
  • Develop and deliver on-site training for users on new initiatives.
  • Provide daily operational support and assistance during the rollout in the field.
  • Ensure safeguarding and compliance with established standards and procedures during implementation.
  • Conduct daily monitoring and review with the operations, to ensure immediate corrective actions are taken.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in Agriculture Technology, Information Systems/ Computer Science, or other relevant fields.
  • Strong interest in digital technology and its application in agriculture/ plantation operations.
  • Ability to explain technical concepts in simple, practical language for field users.
  • Comfortable learning and operating new digital tools, applications, or systems.
  • Willingness to work on-site during the rollout assignment schedule.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.
  • Open to continuous learning, collaborative, and motivated to contribute to the digital transformation of plantation operations.
