Job Description

  • Handle a set of accounting including but not limited to accounts payable, accounts receivables, inventories and general ledger

  • Summarise current financial status by preparing balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports including deep-dive on variance analysis

  • Prepare and record journal entries, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with accounting standards

  • Conduct month-end and year-end close process activities

  • Ensure completeness and accuracy of audit schedules and reconciliations

  • Substantiates financial transactions by collating and reviewing supporting documents

  • Maintains accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures

  • Reconciles financial discrepancies by collecting and analysing account information

  • Monitor cash balances to ensure sufficient funds for operational needs

  • Assist in other ad-hoc queries to support the daily business tasks

  • Assist the Accounting Manager in audit and other accounting related tasks

Qualifications

  • Qualified accountant with ACCA/CPA/Degree in Accounting and Finance is preferred

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in handling full set of accounts

  • Good English proficiency

  • A high level of rigour, energy, discipline and pro-active ability to operate independently and in team

  • Attention to detail and deadline-oriented

  • Ability to work in an unstructured environment where continuous learning and adapting is required to support business growth and experimentation

  • Be result-driven with a strong commitment to deliver within timelines, and able to learn and adapt quickly to different interlocutors, contexts and teams

  • Experience in Oracle (NetSuite) would be an added advantage

  • High-level of energy and dedication; ability to juggle multiple tasks, and tight deadlines
