Alfred H Knight has an exciting opportunity through its Indonesia entity, PT AHK Testing Indonesia, who is looking for a QHSE Officers to join our team based in Jakarta and Balikpapan. PT AHK Testing Indonesia provides independent analysis and inspection services to the metals, minerals and solid fuels industries. We have a well-earned reputation for our knowledge and professionalism in all aspects of weighing, sampling and analysis.

The QHSE Officer will support the Quality and HSE Manager in coordinating and reporting AHK QHSE Programs, preparing for laboratory accreditation based on ISO 17025:2017, and serving as the QHSE representative for the Kalimantan area.

To be successful at Alfred H Knight you will need to display the following:

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND WORK EXPERIENCE 

Essential 

  • Valid driving licence.
  • Sound knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Google suite applications.
  • Emotional maturity and discipline to be able to keep the project and the team on track.
  • Comprehensive applied knowledge and expertise, gained at a professional level, in Business Management.
  • Skill in examining and re-engineering practices and procedures, formulating policy, and developing and implementing QHSE Management System.
  • Ability to analyse complex problems, interpret operational needs, and develop integrated, creative solutions.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of individuals and constituencies in a diverse community.
  • Advanced analytical, evaluative, and objective critical thinking skills.
  • Working knowledge and understanding of the principles and processes of computerised business and operating systems.
  • Ability to gather data, compile information, and prepare reports.
  • Knowledge and understanding of integrated program planning, development, and administration within a public institution environment.
  • Skill in organising resources and establishing priorities.
  • Ability to supervise and train employees, to include organising, prioritising, and scheduling work assignments.
  • Ability to provide technical guidance and leadership to personnel.
  • Ability to develop and present educational programs and/or workshops.

Required Work Experience

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience in a Quality and HSE Management System especially in the mining industry or laboratory testing based on ISO 17025:2017 standards.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Public Health or Chemistry studies. This requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
