About the Role

  • Develop and implement data governance frameworks, policies, and procedures that align with business goals and regulations
  • Lead the data governance council and coordinate across departments to drive governance initiatives
  • Set up and maintain data quality standards, metrics, and monitoring systems
  • Build and manage data catalogs, metadata repositories, and data lineage documentation
  • Create and oversee data stewardship programs with clear roles and accountability
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
  • Create and deliver data governance training for employees
  • Track and report on governance metrics, compliance, and program success
  • Spearhead data quality improvements and fixes
  • Work with IT teams to implement governance tools and technologies

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in data governance, data management, or similar roles
  • Strong technical proficiency in data warehousing, ETL tools, SQL, and data modeling
  • Deep understanding of data governance frameworks, methodologies, and best practices
  • Proven experience implementing and managing enterprise-wide data governance programs
  • Comprehensive knowledge of data privacy regulations and compliance requirements
  • Demonstrated success working with senior stakeholders and driving organizational change
  • Exceptional project management and cross-functional team leadership abilities
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Strong strategic thinking and planning abilities
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Willing to be placed in Pekanbaru or Medan
