Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented UX Writer to join our product team. As a UX Writer, you will be responsible for crafting clear, concise, and user-focused content that enhances the usability of our digital products. You will collaborate closely with Product Designers, Product Managers, and Engineers to ensure that all product copy—from microcopy to onboarding flows—supports intuitive user experiences while aligning with product goals and regulatory considerations in the fintech domain.

Responsibilities

User-Focused Content Development

  • Create clear and concise UI copy such as buttons, labels, instructions, error messages, empty states, and notification messages.
  • Translate complex financial concepts into simple, user-friendly language.
  • Ensure content supports usability best practices and facilitates seamless user journeys across web and mobile interfaces.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work with Product Designers to incorporate copy into wireframes, prototypes, and design iterations.
  • Align closely with Product Managers to understand business goals, product requirements, and regulatory needs.
  • Coordinate with Engineers to ensure accurate implementation of content in the final product.
  • Contribute to product discussions and provide content insights that support product improvements.

Content Governance & Standards

  • Maintain and develop voice and tone guidelines tailored to fintech products.
  • Create and manage terminology standards, glossaries, and writing patterns for consistency across the product.
  • Conduct content reviews and identify opportunities to improve clarity and comprehension.
  • Ensure all product copy complies with internal guidelines and relevant financial regulations.

Quality Assurance & Optimization

  • Review and refine existing copy to improve usability, clarity, and overall user experience.
  • Validate content accuracy during development stages and assist in QA processes related to content.
  • Apply feedback from product teams and user insights (if available) to improve and iterate on copy.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Communication, Linguistics, Journalism, Design, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience as a UX Writer, Content Designer, or similar role in digital products.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing UX writing samples, including microcopy and user flow content.
  • Excellent writing and editing skills with the ability to simplify complex information.
  • Experience collaborating with Designers, Product Managers, and Engineers.
  • Familiarity with fintech products, concepts, and user flows.
  • Understanding of UX principles, content strategy, and accessibility best practices.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
