Chief Technology Officer (CTO)
to lead the technical vision, architecture, and team that will shape the future of

Role Overview

As the CTO, you will own the entire technical strategy and execution for — spanning multi-agent AI systems, integration architecture, compliance-grade backend services, and cloud infrastructure. You will define and build the foundational systems that enable evidence collection, automated gap analysis, remediation workflows, and audit-ready reporting.

You will work directly with the founders, investors, and early engineering team to architect a scalable, secure, AI-first platform used by fast-growing startups and enterprises worldwide.

This is a founding executive role with significant ownership, responsibility, and strategic influence across the entire product lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

1. Technical Vision & Architecture

2. Define and execute the long-term technical roadmap for

3. Architect a multi-agent AI system capable of evidence collection, gap analysis, and remediation at scale
4. Build a compliance-grade backend architecture (multi-tenant, RBAC, audit logging, data isolation)
5. Design a scalable integration framework for GitHub, Okta, AWS, GCP, Azure, Jira, and enterprise systems

6. Oversee the AI stack (RAG pipelines, vector DBs, retrieval agents, fine-tuning, evaluators, orchestration)

7. Leadership & Team Building

8. Hire, mentor, and grow a world-class engineering and AI team

9. Establish engineering best practices, coding standards, and quality guidelines
10. Lead cross-functional collaboration with Product, Design, Security, and Operations

11. Drive a culture of speed, ownership, and technical excellence

12. Execution & Delivery

13. Own the end-to-end delivery of platform features and AI capabilities

14. Oversee infrastructure, deployment pipelines, observability, and reliability
15. Implement data governance, security controls, and auditability standards

16. Ensure engineering execution aligns with customer needs, compliance requirements, and go-to-market timelines

17. AI & Innovation

18. Drive innovation across multi-agent orchestration, retrieval strategies, and domain-specific fine-tuning

19. Evaluate emerging AI techniques (RAG 2.0, fine-tuning, function-calling agents, LLMOps, MCP) and integrate where valuable
20. Champion explainability, consistency, and traceability of AI outputs for audit readiness

21. Build hybrid-rule + LLM evaluators to ensure accuracy and reduce hallucinations

22. Strategic & Operational Responsibilities

23. Collaborate closely with founders on company strategy, fundraising, and investor conversations

24. Translate business needs and customer requirements into a scalable technical roadmap
25. Own technical KPIs: reliability, cost, performance, accuracy, security, product velocity
26. Represent as a technical leader externally (partners, customers, conferences)

Requirements

Must-Have

• 8+ years of engineering experience with a strong background in backend, platform, or AI systems
• Deep experience in Python and/or TypeScript (FastAPI, Node/Nest, Pydantic, SQLAlchemy, React)
• Proven track record in architecting large-scale distributed systems or AI-driven products
• Hands-on expertise with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure), Kubernetes, CI/CD, and observability
• Experience building or managing RAG pipelines, LLM integrations, or agentic systems
• Strong understanding of enterprise SaaS, RBAC, multi-tenant security, and data isolation patterns
• Ability to lead engineering teams and build organizational processes from 0 → 1
• Comfort operating in fast-paced startup environments with incomplete information

Nice-to-Have

• Experience in security, compliance, or developer tooling
• Prior CTO, Head of Engineering, or founding engineer experience
• Background in workflow orchestration (Temporal, Airflow, Celery)
• Experience with OAuth/SaaS integrations (GitHub, Okta, AWS IAM, Jira, Google Workspace)
• Expertise in fine-tuning, LoRA/PEFT, or domain adaptation techniques
