Requirements:

  • Fluency in Mandarin, with the ability to translate between the two languages with a high degree of accuracy 
    (No HSK Certified Needed)
  • Willing to be placed at Mining site
  • Minimum 1 years' experience as a professional Mandarin translator
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely
  • Proficient with translation software and technology, such as computer-assisted translation (CAT) tools
  • Degree in translation, linguistics or a related field preferred
  • Keen attention to detail and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team

What you'll be doing

  • Translate a variety of documents, including contracts, reports, presentations and correspondence, between Mandarin and English
  • Interpret during meetings, conference calls and site visits to ensure clear understanding and alignment between all parties
  • Proofread and edit translated materials to ensure accuracy, clarity and consistency
  • Collaborate with project managers and subject matter experts to understand context and deliver appropriate translations
  • Provide cultural insights and advice to enhance cross-cultural communication and understanding
  • Continuously improve translation processes and identify opportunities for automation or efficiency gains
