Sales Manager – Learning Courses / Training Solutions

The Sales Manager for Learning Courses is responsible for driving revenue growth by acquiring new clients, managing key accounts, and promoting training and learning solutions to corporate, government, and institutional markets. This role oversees the full sales cycle, builds strong customer relationships, and ensures high-quality delivery of learning programs aligned with client needs.

Key Responsibilities1. Sales Strategy & Target Achievement

  • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve monthly and annual revenue targets.
  • Identify new business opportunities across B2B, B2G, and institutional segments (corporates, ministries, universities, schools).
  • Manage the sales pipeline, forecast revenue, and report performance to management.

2. Client Acquisition & Relationship Management

  • Conduct prospecting through canvassing, lead generation, networking, and market research.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with HR, Training & Development, Corporate Learning, Academic, and Government stakeholders.
  • Present learning solutions, conduct product demos, and tailor proposals based on customer needs.

3. Solution Selling & Consultation

  • Understand client competency gaps, learning needs, and development goals.
  • Recommend suitable courses such as corporate training, language programs, certification prep, and skill development modules.
  • Provide customized / tailor-made learning solutions to enhance client value.

4. Proposal, Negotiation & Closing

  • Prepare proposals, quotations, training outlines, and program costings.
  • Handle tender submissions, contract negotiations, and pricing discussions.
  • Ensure smooth handover of closed deals to the operations and program management team.

5. Account Management & Retention

  • Manage existing key accounts to maximize renewal and retainer opportunities.
  • Conduct evaluation meetings, collect testimonials, and propose upskilling or cross-sell programs.
  • Track customer satisfaction and resolve operational issues in coordination with internal teams.

6. Market Analysis & Competitive Intelligence

  • Monitor industry trends, competitor offerings, and certification/language training developments.
  • Provide feedback to product teams to improve course design, delivery, and market fit.

7. Collaboration & Internal Coordination

  • Work closely with marketing for campaigns, events, and lead generation.
  • Coordinate with academic, content, and training teams regarding program delivery and customization.
  • Participate in sales meetings, improvement initiatives, and team development.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Education, HR, Communications, or related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in B2B sales, training solutions, educational services, or similar industries.
  • Strong selling and negotiation skills with a consultative sales approach.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building abilities.
  • Experience handling tenders or B2G sales is a plus.
  • Ability to work with targets and manage a dynamic sales pipeline.
