What you'll be doing

  • Lead and manage the finance and tax teams, providing guidance and direction to ensure the efficient and accurate handling of all financial and tax-related matters
  • Oversee the preparation and submission of all tax returns and payments, ensuring full compliance with local tax laws and regulations
  • Analyse financial data, identify trends and provide strategic recommendations to the senior leadership team to support decision-making
  • Develop and implement financial policies, procedures and controls to safeguard the organisation's assets and mitigate risks
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to support the bank's growth and expansion initiatives, providing financial and tax expertise
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in tax legislation and accounting standards, and ensure the organisation adapts accordingly
  • Mentor and develop the finance and tax teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement

What we're looking for

  • Minimum Bachelor's degree (S1) in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.
  • Preferably has a minimum of 5 years of experience working in a Public Accounting Firm, particularly in handling clients in the banking or financial services sector.
  • Extensive expertise in corporate taxation, including the preparation and submission of tax returns and managing tax audits.
  • Strong financial acumen, with the ability to analyse complex financial data and provide strategic insights.
  • Proven track record of leading and developing high-performing finance and tax teams.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate financial information for non-finance audiences.
  • Thorough understanding of relevant tax laws, accounting standards and financial regulations.
  • Proactive, solutions-oriented mindset and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
