Position Overview: Outside Sales Engineer – (Jawa Timur & Jawa Tengah Area)

We are looking for a dynamic and driven Sales Engineer to join our team in Surabaya. This role is crucial in expanding our market reach in East & Central Java and beyond, engaging directly with customers to understand their needs, and delivering tailored solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities in Jawa Timur & Jawa Tengah area and surrounding industrial regions
  • Proactively conduct sales visits, customer calls, and technical discussions to promote ASSAB products
  • Achieve sales targets and profitability goals in alignment with company objectives
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with customers, distributors, and industrial partners
  • Conduct market research to identify customer needs, competitor activities, and industry trends
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely quotation, technical support, and delivery
  • Prepare sales reports, forecasts, and pipeline updates regularly
  • Attend trade shows, technical seminars, and customer training sessions as required

Requirements

  • Degree/Diploma in Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a related field
  • Minimum 2 years of sales experience, preferably in tool steel, manufacturing, metalworking, mould and die, or related industries
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-first mindset
  • Fluent in Bahasa Indonesia; proficiency in English is an advantage
  • Self-motivated, result-oriented, and able to work independently
  • Willing to travel frequently across East & Central Java and other assigned regions
  • Based in Surabaya or willing to relocate
