About Aquarev:

Aquarev is a venture-backed social enterprise created by The Meloy Fund to renovate, revitalize, and revolve credit for up to 75,000 poorly performing smallholder shrimp farms in Indonesia. Via a proprietary agtech+fintech platform, farmers receive financial support for best-practice renovation and climate-smart intensification of their shrimp ponds, and are provided hands-on support and guidance at the farm level to optimize the day-to-day cultivation process.

Aquarev is now launching its growth phase, bringing in more than US$4 million in investment to scale up its reach to 300 farmers and to implement a series of new sustainability initiatives. Aquarev seeks a dynamic, creative, and high-integrity management team to drive the growth of this innovative new company forward, ultimately to reach thousands of small-scale farmers in Indonesia and beyond.

About the Role:

Junior FP&A Analyst provides critical support to Finance Manager by assisting in deep-dive financial analysis, performance reporting, and planning activities. This role plays a central part in translating operational performance into meaningful financial insights for strategic decision-making.

Key responsibilities:

  • Financial Analysis & Reporting:
    Assist in analyzing the company's financial performance by identifying and detailing the gap between planned (budgeted) and actual results (variance analysis).
  • Planning & Forecasting:
    Support the annual and quarterly planning cycles. Contribute to future-looking analysis, including short-term forecasting and rolling forecasts for key financial metrics.
  • Proposal Evaluation:
    Review and check operational and sales-related plans and proposals submitted by departments to assess their financial viability, risks, and alignment with corporate goals.
  • Accounting Support:
    Provide support on month-end and quarter-end processes, including general accounting tasks, accruals, and account reconciliations, ensuring data quality for analysis.
  • Collaboration:
    Serve as a key link between Finance and the Sales and Operations teams, gathering data and providing financial context to their activities.
  • Process Improvement:
    Identify and recommend efficiencies in financial data gathering, analysis, and reporting workflows.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • Experience in financial analysis, business reporting, or management accounting (internships or 1-2 years of entry-level experience).
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel (Pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, financial modeling, and charting) and familiarity with ERP/financial planning software.
  • Strong ability to synthesize complex data sets into actionable information, identifying trends, anomalies, and underlying drivers of financial performance.
  • Proven capability to investigate financial risks, identify optimization opportunities, and contribute to sound, data-driven solutions.
  • Strong verbal and written skills to clearly present complex analytical findings to non-financial managers (Sales/Ops) and senior stakeholders.
