Job Summary:

The Account Payable will be responsible for keeping track, processing and reconciling stock receipts, payments and expenditures.  It may also include purchase orders, invoices, credits, statements, refund requisitions etc., in compliance with financial policies and procedures.

Job Description

  • Perform day to day management of all payment cycle activities and provide efficient client service.
  • Receipt Stock within Accredo.
  • Ensure correct approval, sorting, coding and matching of invoices/receipts.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Regularly tabulate data and compile necessary reports.
  • Generate and send out Customer Invoices (predominantly related to wholesale sales).
  • Process Credit requests to suppliers.
  • Continuously improve accounts processes.
  • Providing supplier information to internal departments.
  • Processing invoices on a daily basis (for both stock and overheads), including reconciliation to supplier statements.
  • Attending to supplier account queries.
  • Creating and processing of payments (urgent and through a weekly payment run) for both local and overseas suppliers.  This includes correctly allocating payments against supplier invoices to ensure outstanding balances are correctly reflected.
  • Setup of new suppliers in system, including the review of suppliers to ensure accuracy.
  • Ensure Accounts Payable compliance with legislation and internal policies.
  • AP analysis and reporting.
  • Provide support/back up to other finance staff as required.
  • Managing the supplier invoice filing system.
  • Other tasks as may be necessary.

Requirements:

  • Experience in Accounts Payable function.
  • System automation experience.
  • Accredo-Pos would be an advantage.
  • Experience in reviewing and improving on financial systems and processes.
  • A minimum of 2 years accounting experience.
  • Capability in Microsoft Office, including Excel, to at least an intermediate level.
  • Excellent written and oral communication in English (required).
  • Demonstrated ability to be proactive, use initiative and have prior experience working autonomously as required.
