About the role

We are seeking a talented Research and Development Assistant (Mandarin) to join our dynamic team at PT JINJIA NGP INDONESIA' in Batam, Riau Islands.

What you'll be doing

  1. Document and Information Management

  2. Draft, organize, and maintain technical documents (such as requirements specifications, user manuals, and patent application materials).

  3. Collect, classify, and manage R&D documentation to ensure compliance with knowledge management and confidentiality requirements.
  4. Handle internal departmental information flow, including issuing notices and managing document distribution.

  5. Laboratory and R&D Support

  6. Assist in preparing experimental materials, equipment requests, and maintenance; manage inventory of laboratory consumables.

  7. Record experimental data and assist with basic data analysis and chart preparation.
  8. Follow up on sample fabrication, testing, and result feedback.
  9. Enter basic data into the ERP system.
  10. Assist with departmental administrative tasks such as budget reimbursements, procurement requests, and travel arrangements.
  11. Act as the departmental contact point to coordinate with procurement, finance, HR, marketing, and other teams. Assist in maintaining quality management system documents (such as ISO 9001, ISO 13485, etc.).

  12. Common Collaboration Partners

  13. Internal: R&D engineers, test engineers, project managers.

  14. Cross-department: Procurement (materials), Production (pilot runs), Marketing (requirements feedback), IP department (patents).
  15. External: Suppliers, partner institutions, testing and certification bodies.

What we're looking for

  • Proficient in English & Mandarin.
  • Proficient in office software, detail-oriented, and responsible.
  • Detail-oriented, well-organized, strong execution ability, with a strong sense of confidentiality.
  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in science, engineering, management, or related fields.
  • Proficient in Office/WPS (especially Excel and PowerPoint) and project management tools (e.g., Jira, Trello).
  • Basic technical understanding (able to read drawings and understand R&D processes).
  • Strong document writing, data organization, and communication skills.
  • Work experience: 3 years.
