About the role

As a key member of the plant leadership team, you will serve as the local HR Business Partner, ensuring HR services align with local laws, global policies, and our HR mission. You will drive employee engagement, foster a strong performance culture, and maintain healthy employee and labor relations. This role covers a broad range of responsibilities, including employee relations, payroll support, benefits communication, workplace investigations, staffing, onboarding, performance management, and collaboration with external vendors. Working closely with the Plant Manager and global HR teams, you will lead initiatives that enhance leadership behaviors, support compliance, and enable continuous improvement in HR processes—impacting business results from day one.

Key responsibilities include

  • Ensuring employees are empowered to perform, learn and develop their career
  • Create a productive work environment using effective management practices, ensure that principles of integrity and respect are practiced
  • Acts as partner and point of contact for Line Managers in the Site.
  • Coaches and guides line management in the provision of solutions for people & organizational matters.
  • Can appropriately influence decisions to upskill management population and de-risk the organization by applying and role-modeling the right leadership behaviors.
  • Responsible for management of all site employee relations matters. Gatekeeper of the case management system and drives consistency and risk management for the organization.
  • Secure availability and top-notch quality of data and HR metrics.
  • Assessing reports provided by the HR team, team leaders and operations managers to determine employee needs
  • Suggesting changes provides feedback regarding policies and procedures but understand the PDCA cycle
  • Creating or supervising recruitment plans, interview schedules and evaluation standards
  • Supervising all HR activities, communications, reports, requests and documents created and received by the team
  • Actively supported in Barry Callebaut Operation Standard. Attending interdepartmental meetings with other managers starting with PLT, in the future part of different pillars of the Barry Callebaut Operation Standard
  • Conducting exit interviews and analyzing the results thereof, identifying and flagging risky developments to the site leadership team
  • Overseeing that the engagement survey results are taken as business result and embedded in each team's actions plans and DNA
  • You are a change manager - you act as an advocate for optimization in the execution of HR policies and you focus on operational excellence in both the business and HR topics. As a Change partner, you analyze together with the business the need for change within your scope and its impact on the organization and the steps to be taken from a labor relations perspective. You then define the action plan and co-develop the communication plan, and you guide the managers in the way they should handle this. Together with the business, you guide i.e. the redeployment process and monitor the progress of the implementation

About you

  • Proficient in English.
  • Proficient in local language/s required.
  • Bachelor s degree or higher in Human Resource Management, Organizational Psychology, Business Administration, Sociology, Psychology, Industrial/Labor Relations, or experience in working in HR Department of international corporation for min. 3 years in Managerial or Generalist HRBP position in a plant and overall min. 5 years working experience including multinational company.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of local Laws, regulations, procedures, and standards.
  • Knowledge of Labor Relations - you have worked with Unions and /or Works Councils and/or Employee Representatives.
  • Working and being engaged in a TPM environment will be an asset
  • Understanding of High Performing Organization principles
  • Willing to be placed in Kab. Bandung
