About the Role:

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Chef De Partie to join our team. The Chef de Partie is responsible for running a specific section of the kitchen (e.g., grill, sauce, pastry, etc.) and ensuring that dishes are prepared to the highest quality standards. This is a hands-on leadership role that requires technical cooking skills, attention to detail, and the ability to supervise junior kitchen staff. The CDP reports directly to the Sous Chef or Junior Sous Chef and plays a key role in maintaining consistency, hygiene, and efficiency in the kitchen.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a designated section of the kitchen during service.
  • Ensure that all dishes are prepared and presented according to standard recipes and presentation guidelines.
  • Execute food preparation with precision and quality.
  • Monitor portion control and minimize food waste.
  • Train and guide Commis and Demi Chef de Partie in your section.
  • Delegate tasks efficiently and ensure productivity and discipline.
  • Assist in stock rotation and maintain inventory levels for your section.
  • Ensure all ingredients are fresh, properly labeled, and stored.
  • Uphold kitchen hygiene, food safety standards, and cleanliness in the work area.
  • Adhere to HACCP or other relevant food safety protocols.
  • Coordinate with other kitchen sections to ensure timely and smooth service.
  • Communicate clearly with Sous Chef or Head Chef about section needs and challenges.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a professional kitchen, with at least 1 year in a CDP or equivalent role.
  • Strong technical cooking skills in a specific kitchen section (e.g., grill, cold kitchen, pastry, etc.).
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations.
  • Culinary diploma or relevant certification is preferred.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays.
