Position Overview:

We are looking for experienced
Heavy Equipment Mechanics
to maintain and repair mobile and fixed plant equipment used in our mining operations. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with heavy machinery such as CAT, Komatsu, or Hitachi, and be capable of working in a dynamic, multicultural environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Perform inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on mechanical and electrical systems.
  2. Conduct preventive maintenance (e.g., oil changes, system checks) and major/minor repairs on heavy equipment, including hydraulic, pneumatic, transmission, and electrical systems.
  3. Rebuild and install equipment components, perform minor welding and oxy-acetylene cutting, and provide recommendations to extend component life.
  4. Manage tools and maintain a clean work area, accurately document maintenance activities and work orders, and handle equipment movement in and out of the workshop.
  5. Ensure all work complies with company safety standards and environmental regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in heavy equipment maintenance within mining, construction, or industrial environments.
  • Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills for mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
  • Welding and basic electrical experience is an advantage.
  • Willingness to work in shift rosters or remote mining sites.
  • Commitment to safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
